BIO
Before I decided to get a law degree, I spent many years working in the service industry while trying to become an independent theater director (succeeding as a professional artist is not easy; I have the utmost respect for those who have managed to do it!). I was tired of spending all of my time helping restaurant owners make money. I was also frequently frustrated by the inequities inherent in our society. Namely, groups of people who already possess money and/or other means of power have a tremendous advantage over others in shaping the laws we all live by (keep an eye on my blog posts for more on this topic). And of course, they shape those laws to maintain their own wealth and power at the expense of others.

I was tired of just being angry about this widespread---and worsening---inequality and injustice, and wanted to do something about it, instead. I decided the best way to do that was to become a lawyer.

My practice focuses on what I'm passionate about: leveling the playing field and fighting for real people against those who would exploit them, or those who simply do not care enough to treat them with the respect we all deserve, by virtue of being born into this world as equal human beings .

Unfortunately, while the law is a useful tool for righting many wrongs, our system is far from perfect. Many types of harm are not easily rectified in the courts. Nonetheless, I am happy to listen to any problems you might have, and you can bet I'll give you a straight answer about whether I believe the legal system can
provide a remedy. And when I can help, I will put all my energy into getting you the best result I can achieve.
